Acquire Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment
Antigua and Barbuda offers a Citizenship by Investment Program, regulated by the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Regulations 2014 Act, as amended in 2016.
Under this program, individuals who make a qualifying economic contribution to the country can obtain citizenship for themselves and their eligible dependents.
Investment Option: Donation to the National Development Fund (NDF)
For a family of 4 or fewer:
A non-refundable contribution of US$100,000 to the National Development Fund (NDF).
Plus processing fees of US$25,000.
For a family of 5 or more:
A non-refundable contribution of US$125,000 to the National Development Fund (NDF).
Plus processing fees of US$15,000 for each additional dependent beyond the standard family unit
Requirements for Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment
The primary applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
The primary applicant and all dependents must be in good health, with no contagious diseases or serious health conditions.
Applicants must have no criminal record involving a conviction with a custodial penalty of more than six months’ imprisonment, unless a free pardon has been granted.
Applicants must not be under investigation for any criminal offence.
Applicants must not pose a potential national security risk to Antigua and Barbuda or any other country.
Applicants must not be involved in any activity likely to bring disrepute to the country.
Applicants must not have been previously denied a visa to a country with which Antigua and Barbuda has a visa-free travel agreement.
After obtaining citizenship, the new citizen must spend at least 5 days in Antigua and Barbuda within the first five years to maintain citizenship status.
Nationals from restricted countries (listed below) may still apply if they emigrated before reaching adulthood and/or have maintained permanent residence for at least 10 years in Canada, the UK, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, or the UAE, with no ongoing economic ties to any restricted country.
Restricted Nationalities
Nationals from the following countries are restricted from applying: Afghanistan, North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan.
Dual Citizenship
Dual citizenship is fully recognized by Antigua and Barbuda. You are not required to renounce your previous nationality to become a citizen of Antigua and Barbuda.
Visa Free Travel
Taxes
All income of the citizens or residents of Antigua and Barbuda is free of any kind of local taxes, whether the income is remitted or not. Antigua and Barbuda is a traditionally low tax and offshore jurisdiction free from personal income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and wealth tax. There is a real property tax from 0.1% up to 0.5% on the assessed market value of the property.
